Clearing Blocked Vents
If it is taking longer than usual to dry your clothes, or they are very hot at the end of the cycle, you may have a blocked dryer vent.
Over time, this vent has become fully blocked, causing the dryer to overheat and signal a blockage code.
This vent is blocked by a bird's nest, very common.
We often find blocked roof vents from roofers installing the wrong vent type for dryers. This vent has a removable screen that will help resolve the blockage, but we often find vents with screens built into them, and the only way to resolve that issue is to replace the vent.
This roof vent has a built-in screen that is a part of the vent itself. In this case, the only remedy is to completely replace the vent with one made for dryers.
